After brutally dominating and outboxing Francisco Lorenzo in every round tonight, Humberto Soto got an unfair and a no brainer decision after the referee Joe Cortez didn't scored the fight as KO but a devastating obviously robbery dicision which is a Disqualification. Francisco Lorenzo appealed to the referee that it was the "glance punch while he was down" was the reason why he cannot continue. Which is obviously because of a clear punch which made him kiss the canvas and made him bleed, but Francisco Lorenzo succeeded with his intentions. He won the fight by the way of being battered and outboxed by Humberto Soto. Francisco Lorenzo is now the interim WBC Champion because of his gayness and being a punchingbag inside the ring! Very Great!! SOTO was clearly robbed!!

Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton in 140lbs?
After giving a boxing lesson and a brutal beating to former WBC Lightweight champion David Diaz, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao was planning to go up to 140lbs to get his 5th weight division World Title against the Light Welterweight champion Ricky Hatton, which Freddie Roach said that Ricky Hatton is the perfect opponent for pacquiao because of his slugger type of a fighter and easy to be hit. But there are some rumors that Edwin Valero will fight Pacman at 135lbs or Lightweight division, so it seems like all the Super Featherweight Division champions are going to the Lightweight Division following Pacman, such as Joan Guzman who's already set for a fight against Nate Campbell this coming september 13, 2008 and also Juan Manuel Marquez against the WBO Lightweight champion Joel Casamayor, and now the WBA Super Featherweight champion Edwin Valero who is rumored to fight Manny Pacquiao at Lightweight. I know pacman will dominate the Lightweight division easily except if Marquez wants a rematch with him in lightweight after the Marquez-Casamayor fight this coming september 13, 2008. The next big fight for pacman and most of the boxing fans wanna see is a shot against Ricky Hatton at 140lbs and not against a B class champion Edwin Valero. Go for the 5th division world title Pacman!!

Glenn Donaire vs Ulises Solis on July 12
Glenn Donaire, the older brother of the flyweight world champion Nonito Donaire will be fighting Ulises Solis this july 12 for the IBF Light Flyweight belt. This is a very important fight for Donaire because if he will win this fight he will be the 5th filipino world champion at present. I hope Glenn Donaire has the same skills and power of his brother.
Juan Manuel Marquez vs Joel Casamayor on September 13
After losing in a controversial Split Decision to Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manuel Marquez will battle the WBO Lightweight champion Joel Casamayor who just won by an Amazing Knock Out against Michael Katsidis. On that fight day(september 13, 2008) also, Joan Guzman will fight Nate Campbell but not on the same card. As we have seen, most of the Super Featherweight champions are going to lightweight now only Edwin Valero will gonna stay on the Super Featherweight unless he decides to jump to Lightweight with his fellow Super Featherweight champions Manny Pacqiao, Juan Manuel MArquez and Joan Guzman.

Azumah Nelson lost to Jeff Fenech in a MD
The all time Super Feather weight Champion in boxing history Azumah "The Professor" Nelson lost in his comeback fight to Jeff Fenech in a Majority Decision. Azumah Nelson's last fight was on 1998 against Jessie James Leija. Even if Azumah Nelson lost last june 24, he will still be the greatest Super Feather weight champion in the boxing history.

Joe Calzaghe, the best boxer in the world!
Light Heavy weight champion and the current pound 4 pound champion Joe Calzaghe is now the best fighter in the world after beating Bernard Hopkins and after Floyd Mayweather Jr. retired. Joe calzaghe, the former undisputed Super Midleweight champion is undefeated since 1993 and since his first Championship fight in 1995 against the former UK Superstar and future hall of famer Chris Eubank. Joe Calzaghe defeated the best fighter in the Super Middleweight division in 10years time including Jeff Lacy, Mikkel Kessler, Sakio Bika, Chris Eubank and many more. Joe Calzaghe recently declined the offer to fight Kelly Pavlik for his way to fight Roy Jones jr.

AJ "Bazooka" Banal for the Championship belt
AJ Banal will be fighting for the WBA superflyweight championship belt against an easy opponent on Rafael Concepcion, Rafael Concepcion(10wins,6 by knockout, 2 losses, 1 draw) while AJ Banal(17wins, 14 by knockout) is the hottest filipino prospect nowadays. I hope he will not be as unfortunate as Rey Bautista but their style is too different, AJ Banal is the more technical and skilled boxer than Bautista. I see a easy KO by AJ Banal on Rafael Concepcion this July 26, 2008.
Florante Condes lost to a journeyman,
The filipino IBF minimum weight champion Florante "The Little Pacquiao" Condes lost to a journeyman Raul Garcia via unanimous decision. Florante Condes was a popular filipino cham[pion after defeating the former minimum weight champion Muhammad Rachman in Rachman's hometown in Indonesia. Condes for some reason coud'nt do anything about Garcia's lateral movement and was befuddled at the ropes, Condes scored a good knockdown on 12th but its a little bit too late., Now the filipino boxing champions left were Manny Pacquiao, Gerry Penalosa, Nonito Donaire, and Donnie Nietes.
Miguel Angel Cotto too Underrated
In my own opinion Miguel Angel Cotto a Puerto Rican superstar is just too Underrated, the fighter who the no.1 pound for pound always ducked and almost 4 years Welterweight Champion, Cotto defended all his championship belts against the best welterweight fighter in the world such as Sugar Shane Moseley, Paul Malignaggi, and Zab Judah. I think Cotto would be the next Joe Calzaghe after beating Oscar De La Hoya or Floyd Mayweather jr., thats if only Floyd Mayweather jr. will come back from his never ending excuse which is "retirement again" and if Oscar de La Hoya ends his excuses that his wife is a puerto rican so he woudnt fight cotto. Cotto's next opponent will be the Antonio Margarito on July 26, 2008.
Manny Pacquiao vs David Diaz
On june 28, 2008 the filipino pride will battle again to a mexican David Diaz after his controversial decision against Juan Manuel Marquez. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao will try to get the WBC Lightweight Championship belt against Diaz for him to become a 4 Division World Champion. Diaz on the other hand has just defended his belt and finished the career of the future hall of famer Erik Morales whom Pacquiao defeated 2x by the way of knock out. Diaz scored a close decision against morales who got a hard beating from pacman, Diaz also defeated Armando Santa Cruz where Diaz won by a lucky knockdown while Santa Cruz was far more ahead at the judge's scorecards. In my own opinion people are just overrating this fight but in reality this will just be a easy win for Pacquiao and a great preparation by the Top Rank promotions, a perfect plan for pacman to become a 4 division world champion easily and make it 5 division world champion soon after beating the light welterweight champion the hitman hatton.

Juan Diaz vs Michael Katsidis coming soon
Juan Diaz has just recieved his big upset from the current champion Nate Campbell and Michael Katsidis got a big upset too from Joel Casamayor by an unexpected Knockout.
I think Juan Diaz is more technically sound, quicker, and has a much better defense (his career Compubox +/- ratio is better than Jones and Whitaker's and only 2nd to Mayweather's) but that nagging bleeding cut really screwed up his whole mentality and gemplan against Campbell, that combined with Katsidis' even more destructive relentless attack to the body and head seems to be a bad style mathcup for him. Diaz is a fighter who outworks and breaks down his opponent with volume and pressure over time. Katsidis is a fighter who charges at his opponent with constant haymakers looking to destroy his opponent at all times with pressure and power.
Whoever wins it's gonna be an absolute war, but I see Katsidis scoring a late round KO when Diaz takes one too many shots after Katsidis gets his face mashed up worse than ever before by Juan Diaz' constant barrage.

Forrest vs Mora
Mora won a Majority Decision. Forrest looked in command and had the boxing ability over Mora. Forrest slowed down and got caught with a couple of shots that seemed to unsettle him mentally rather than physically. He switched off. Mora was changing style constantly and looking for the right system that would breakthrough or unbalance Forrest's obviously superior technique. I don't think he really outboxed Forrest,it was more a combination of Mora drive and Forrest lack of output.
There were times when Forrest caught Mora bang on,but he didn't sustain his attack constantly enough to take over the whole fight. Mora was sloppy and untidy some of the time, while Forrest kept his overall defensive security in check. At no point did it look like Mora could trigger a downfall,or produce a flash knockdown or knockout. It was that kind of fight. I can see how the judges would score it for Mora. I thought Forrest edged it. It was a close fight.
Pavlik won a third round KO against Lockett
Kelly Pavlik just won a third round knockout to GaLockett. Lockett received a beating from Pavlik in every round. It was just like Kelly Pavlik gave him a boxing lesson, a mismatch fight. Pavlik destroyed Jermain Taylor two times before this fight. Pavlik is such a great boxer and must be the number one pound for pound in the world.
Daniel Ponce De Leon lost in a First Round knockout to Juan Manuel Lopez
The hard hitting Daniel Ponce De Leon lost to a Puerto Rican prospect Juan Manuel Lopez in a first round knockout, this is a very big upset for Ponce De Leon with his first round KO to Rey Bautista and a wide decision win to Gerry Penalosa. De Leon seemed like underestimated Lopez in that first round, but Lopez is on his way to the greater Champion which is Israel Vasquez. I wanna see this fight happen soon. Congrats to the new WBO super bantam weight champion, Juan Manuel Lopez.
